The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

After a defensive mix-up in Chimborazo A.F.C's zone, Bernardino Ofelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Ledesma came out of the goal and Bernardino Ofelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laurita FC's Hélder Fernandez was substituted for Filip Ikalewicz. Laurita FC's Šair Lupin was substituted for Mario Alberto Kempes. In the 76th minute Ernesto Pacifico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Kinsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Šair Lupin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jeremias Ledesma firmly grabbed it by the left post. Šair Lupin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremias Ledesma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. When Chimborazo A.F.C's Ernesto Pacifico in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
