In the 21st minute Nicolás Valentini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Ur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Barış Yorangil in the 24th minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolás Valentini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Lucio Ur when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Domingo Lucero charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingo Lucero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of La Candela FC booed when C. A. Potrero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Lucero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Medina kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Potrero's zone, Gabi Batistuta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Ur came out of the goal and Gabi Batistuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C. A. Potrero's Lucio Ur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Potrero from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 57th minute of the match, Mustafa Barış Yorangil tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ruben Sánchez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 59 played minutes C. A. Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Moises Berdoi. La Candela FC's Rubén-Darío Feldmann was substituted for Gabi Batistuta. 69 minutes into the game, Orlando Medina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Candela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Potrero the free kick. In the 69th match minute, La Candela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Medina to maneuver through the defense. After 70 minutes of play, C. A. Potrero's Mateusz Marajda made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruben Sánchez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mateusz Marajda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruben Sánchez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastián Battaglia came free, but Lucio Ur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Mateusz Marajda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruben Sánchez. That made the score 3-2 in the 83 minute of play. A collision led to La Candela FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Miguel Nicolau hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, C. A. Potrero's Semih Kaya tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Nicolás Valentini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
