Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Víktor Magalhães in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnoldo Donzel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 minutes Deportivo Mukenio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabian Costin who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in 17 de enero team's zone, Aziz Akarsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoran Simović came out of the goal and Aziz Akarsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Basarab Ipate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Donzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Víktor Magalhães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 17 de enero team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Akarsu in the 37th minute of play forced 17 de enero team's goalkeeper Zoran Simović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zoran Simović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Akarsu in the 38th minute of the match. Aziz Akarsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 17 de enero team's Zoran Simović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aziz Akarsu in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind 17 de enero team's goalkeeper Zoran Simović, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. 17 de enero team walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
