In the 3rd minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Man Tas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, San Fernando Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Man Tas came free, but Bartolo Salvator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vlad Enceanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tobias Elizardo having to make a save. In the 26th minute Sarmiento de Resistencia were awarded a corner. Bogumil Spychalski went to the cornerflag to take it. San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save San Fernando Eagles from getting a goal against them. Arias Fabelo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the game, Vlad Enceanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tobias Elizardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Man Tas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartolo Salvator was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. With a little luck, San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator got control of the ball when Man Tas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Vlad Enceanu notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sarmiento de Resistencia's Tobias Elizardo. Tobias Elizardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half San Fernando Eagles were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Man Tas was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes San Fernando Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Schmidt. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Bartolo Salvator, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tobias Elizardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlad Enceanu in the 54th minute of play. Man Tas struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Bartolo Salvator didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmiento de Resistencia. San Fernando Eagles's Vicente Sol was substituted for Vlad Enceanu. Alex Herrero might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartolo Salvator. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Herrero ran back to his position shaking his head. San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Herrero in the 65th minute of play. Alex Herrero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartolo Salvator read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Polo Quinteros got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. San Fernando Eagles's Niceto Chorache was substituted for Roque Ariando. 77 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Tobias Elizardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Polo Quinteros. After having played for 85 minutes, Alex Herrero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmiento de Resistencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Herrero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alex Herrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bartolo Salvator took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Herrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Herrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Herrero in the 88th minute of play. The throw-in from Ulysses Schmidt in the 94th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sarmiento de Resistencia's Arias Fabelo. 97 minutes into the match, San Fernando Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Bogumil Spychalski came free, but Bartolo Salvator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Sarmiento de Resistencia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching San Fernando Eagles's performance. The match ended with a win for San Fernando Eagles.
