Clemente Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Szepes, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Canalla Fuego's Nicolae Honcioiu was substituted for Gigel Iuonaș. 52 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Szepes came free, but Clemente Benvido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Honcioiu in the 53rd minute of play forced Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goalkeeper Rudolf Meulman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Olimpo de Bahia Blanca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudolf Meulman should have stopped the shot.
