Eigtheenstars 2's Ignacio Valery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonín Orlík in the 22nd minute of play. Julio Faro took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arcadio Buendia. Arcadio Buendia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Xacintu in the 28th minute of play forced Eigtheenstars 2's goalkeeper Ignacio Valery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Cayetano Xacintu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grosso United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Julio Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Antonín Orlík put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ignacio Valery. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonín Orlík to make the kick off.
