In the 20th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrico Petrini to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Iraido in the 21st minute of play. Marco Nisio made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cachiyuyo EAS's Anier Osoitz. After 24 played minutes Cachiyuyo EAS got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Argenis. After some careless play in the Cachiyuyo EAS defense, Gavino Hitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnulfo Nataniel. The Cachiyuyo EAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnulfo Nataniel should have stopped the shot. Racing Club's Ivan Flor suffered a concussion after 32 minutes and had to leave the field. Racing Club's Placido Sayvion was substituted for Ivan Flor. A collision led to Cachiyuyo EAS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sergio Derwin hit a great ball. Cachiyuyo EAS's Arnulfo Nataniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute Cachiyuyo EAS were awarded a corner. Fidel Argenis went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Anier Osoitz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Cachiyuyo EAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Isusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Edvin Dalgren was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Sergio Derwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Raymond came out of the goal and Sergio Derwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavino Hitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Arnulfo Nataniel made a huge save. Sven-Edvin Dalgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Nataniel having to interfere. Arnulfo Nataniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Dalgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Edvin Dalgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnulfo Nataniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Edvin Dalgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnulfo Nataniel made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Gavino Hitz sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 75 minutes, Sven-Edvin Dalgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Edvin Dalgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Luciano Iraido cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Francisco Raymond was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 79 played minutes Cachiyuyo EAS got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Argenis. The supporters of Cachiyuyo EAS booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Sayvion didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 minutes, Placido Sayvion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Cachiyuyo EAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Sven-Edvin Dalgren came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Edvin Dalgren couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Racing Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cachiyuyo EAS.
