The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Gilabert got free with Alirio Ducoing in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Anibal Lluques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uriel Chorche was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Jonas Henrico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uriel Chorche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Q. T. I.'s Anibal Lluques got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uriel Chorche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Lluques in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Q. T. I. getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Anibal Lluques hit a great ball. The Defensores del Ángel Gris fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Defensores del Ángel Gris's Alfonso Gilabert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julian Raymundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Alfonso Gilabert lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Alirio Ducoing. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Alfonso Gilabert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores del Ángel Gris's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Gilabert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alirio Ducoing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the match, Defensores del Ángel Gris's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Raymundo came free, but Uriel Chorche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uriel Chorche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Henrico, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Q. T. I.'s goalkeeper Alirio Ducoing, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Uriel Chorche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Raymundo in the 42nd minute of the match. Q. T. I.'s Horacio Dolfo was substituted for Leopoldo Vermudo. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonso Gilabert was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Alfonso Gilabert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defensores del Ángel Gris fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 53rd minute, Jonas Henrico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lisandro Abeita made in the 59th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Haroldo Montrel. Q. T. I.'s Horacio Dolfo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Maximino Calvino, made in the 60th minute of the game. Jonas Henrico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uriel Chorche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. If Bernard Ochabski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Q. T. I. made a substitution. Faustino Txerran replaced Carlos Sergi. Anibal Lluques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Uriel Chorche made a huge save. Uriel Chorche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Lluques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alirio Ducoing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Aimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Gilabert struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Alirio Ducoing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores del Ángel Gris. Horacio Dolfo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Eleuterio Chabier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alirio Ducoing. Q. T. I.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Q. T. I. booed when Defensores del Ángel Gris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Chabier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Gilabert kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Defensores del Ángel Gris fans cheered their team off the field, for while Q. T. I. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
