The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Evelio Arlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Raymond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evelio Arlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Raymond having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Gabriel Dacio got a free kick in the 11th minute. Racing Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enrico Petrini in the 16th minute. After taking down the ball on Racing Club's corner Dante Teyo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gordon Zamora quite easily take care of the ball. Francisco Raymond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Arlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's Gordon Zamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 19th minute of play. The Racing Club fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Racing Club's Sven-Edvin Dalgren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 22 minutes into the match, MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's goalkeeper Gordon Zamora had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavino Hitz. Francisco Raymond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Arlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Ignacy Falke hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Sven-Edvin Dalgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gordon Zamora having to make a save. In the 29th minute Evelio Arlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Raymond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's Evelio Arlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Raymond narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's Evelio Arlo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Raymond made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 39 minutes, Sven-Edvin Dalgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Edvin Dalgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evelio Arlo to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Flor didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Francisco Raymond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evelio Arlo. 60 minutes into the game, Evelio Arlo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Francisco Raymond. Evelio Arlo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Gordon Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 67th minute of play. If Evelio Arlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70thth minute of the game Evelio Arlo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Francisco Raymond was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Racing Club's Francisco Raymond got control of the ball when Evelio Arlo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Racing Club's Francisco Raymond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Arlo in the 81st minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Francisco Raymond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's Evelio Arlo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francisco Raymond. Francisco Raymond yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's zone, Gavino Hitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gordon Zamora came out of the goal and Gavino Hitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evelio Arlo might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Raymond. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evelio Arlo ran back to his position shaking his head. MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
