An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Rencio in the 19th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Francisco Raymond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Raymond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Rencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Fabricio Rencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evaristo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavino Hitz in the 29th minute of the match. If Edgard Polentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Edvin Dalgren was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fabricio Rencio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Raymond read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Cachiyuyo EAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Oriche didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Sven-Edvin Dalgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachiyuyo EAS the free kick. Racing Club's Francisco Raymond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Polentzi in the 92nd minute of play. Cachiyuyo EAS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
