The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the match Timo! got a corner. Marlin FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ilie Hurmuz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Juan Carlos Alvarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dževad Kasimović in the 11th minute of play. In the 20th minute Ilie Hurmuz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Alvarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dževad Kasimović's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Carlos Alvarez was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Elpidio Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aybek Orcun, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Håkan Skager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Alvarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timo!'s Elpidio Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aybek Orcun in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Timo!'s Fabio Bastia got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Håkan Skager in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aybek Orcun in the 36th minute of play forced Timo!'s goalkeeper Elpidio Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cihat Canbek in the 38th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Teobaldo Cilio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elpidio Amor. The goal made the score 1-0. Elpidio Amor came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Marlin FC's Teobaldo Cilio. But to his dismay, Teobaldo Cilio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Aybek Orcun in the 52nd minute of play forced Timo!'s goalkeeper Elpidio Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timo!'s Elpidio Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Arixo in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cihat Canbek came free, but Juan Carlos Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 minutes Marlin FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ilie Hurmuz who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ilie Hurmuz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Juan Carlos Alvarez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilie Hurmuz got free with Juan Carlos Alvarez in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Ergo Are hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dževad Kasimović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Carlos Alvarez having to interfere. Santiago Cachorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elpidio Amor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Panpili in the 83rd minute of the match. Juan Carlos Alvarez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dževad Kasimović in the 84th minute of play. Elpidio Amor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Fredriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Timo! defense, Aybek Orcun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Amor. The Timo! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Amor should have stopped the shot.
