Venancio Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neron Veterini, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Unidad de Matanza's Josef Krumbacher got a free kick in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, WINNING ELEVEN's goalkeeper Jake Leonard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Máximo Kirchner. WINNING ELEVEN's Jake Leonard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máximo Kirchner in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to WINNING ELEVEN getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Hipolito Pirro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Okopny in the 27th minute of play forced WINNING ELEVEN's goalkeeper Jake Leonard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Hipolito Pirro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jake Leonard was a little too slow when Michal Stehno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-0. The supporters of Unidad de Matanza booed when WINNING ELEVEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Waldemar Okopny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unidad de Matanza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Okopny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Michal Stehno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unidad de Matanza's supporters rose to their feet, but Michal Stehno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jake Leonard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by WINNING ELEVEN's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Waldemar Okopny was slow to take the kick. During this time Unidad de Matanza's players had a chance to rest. If Neron Veterini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th minute of the match Unidad de Matanza got a corner. WINNING ELEVEN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Waldemar Okopny ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Waldemar Okopny got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jake Leonard quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Unidad de Matanza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
