But to his dismay, Pavel Brânza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 41st minute Mario Alberto Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Gines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbasa Alabern in the 45th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Challacó's goal looked a bit too open when Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán came free, but Timoteo Gines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zacarias Goleš to make the kick off. Timoteo Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Goleš in the 50th minute of play. Challacó's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Timoteo Gines stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amboy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
