La Cosa Nostra's Sergio Martxel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Robert Davison in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 23 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Joel Delfino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Fidencio. Robert Davison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Otterlei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Delfino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olli Fiedler in the 27th minute of the match. Joel Delfino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Fidencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Sportivo Luan Toro's Robert Davison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Otterlei in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Hans Otterlei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Cosa Nostra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hans Otterlei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Davison read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. La Cosa Nostra's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Alberto Fidencio scored to the left of an out of position Joel Delfino, making the score, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hans Otterlei made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Justino Roland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Luan Toro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justino Roland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans Otterlei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robert Davison having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Roland in the 55th minute of play forced La Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Joel Delfino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Delfino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Roland in the 58th minute of play. Robert Davison made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans Otterlei in the 65th minute. Hans Otterlei scored 1-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Davison, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joel Delfino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evert Taube went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. La Cosa Nostra's Joel Delfino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martins Palermo in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute Martins Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Delfino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sportivo Luan Toro's Robert Davison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Luan Toro from getting a goal against them. 95 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goal looked a bit too open when Martins Palermo came free, but Joel Delfino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sportivo Luan Toro were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
