In the 7th minute, Mehat Kovaçi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri. The goal made the score 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Zuberbühler FC's Marciano Min nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnoud de Pelsmakere made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 19th minute, Marciano Min made a precise shot to the right of Arnoud de Pelsmakere. Cougars FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Nesto, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Cirilo Ebardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zuberbühler FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Gerardo Nesto scored to the left of an out of position Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri, making the score, 2-2. 38 minutes into the match, Zuberbühler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Nesto came free, but Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Cougars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wladimir Herrera to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when Zuberbühler FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Nardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Horia Păuceanu got a throw-in 51 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mehat Kovaçi. Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Mede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwan Sebzda in the 85th minute of play forced Cougars FC's goalkeeper Arnoud de Pelsmakere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Valentin Altúnov heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cougars FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zuberbühler FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
