René Stam was a little too slow when Gavino Gabino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Claudinho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 秦西星, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Las Palmas's goalie and right to Lucas Lixandro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Las Palmas's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some careless play in the Las Palmas defense, Gavino Gabino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of René Stam. The Las Palmas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that René Stam should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Cayetano Esdras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Las Palmas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Dawid Cholewa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Taffarel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Esdras in the 32nd minute of play forced NANANANA LIIIDEER FC's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Dawid Cholewa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. René Stam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Gabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Claudinho Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peker Kazak in the 51st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gavino Gabino in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg René Stam saved Las Palmas from getting behind. Claudinho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Esdras, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when 秦西星 got free with Claudinho Taffarel in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Gavino Gabino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. NANANANA LIIIDEER FC made a substitution. Feliberto Sindo replaced Bonifacio Sansone. Claudinho Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when 秦西星 sent off a good shot on target. Claudinho Taffarel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cayetano Esdras showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 66 minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, NANANANA LIIIDEER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Esdras came free, but Claudinho Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinho Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 秦西星 in the 71st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celedonio Montes during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes NANANANA LIIIDEER FC got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Montes. 83 minutes into the game, Las Palmas's Cayetano Esdras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinho Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Las Palmas's René Stam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Sindo in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Amador Hartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Stam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amador Hartz in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Stam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute NANANANA LIIIDEER FC were awarded a corner. Celedonio Montes went to the cornerflag to take it. NANANANA LIIIDEER FC's Celedonio Montes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but René Stam in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. René Stam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Costin Cârneci went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. When the match was over Las Palmas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than NANANANA LIIIDEER FC throughout the match.
