Matias Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Zyskowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Matias Carlomagno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boruc Spychalski. San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Cälal Elxanov came free, but Matias Carlomagno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Estebano. In the 41st match minute, Juventus Telford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Fisher to maneuver through the defense. Carter Rulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mo Yi Sang in the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mo Yi Sang to make the kick off. When Mo Yi Sang came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the San Lorenzo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mo Yi Sang couldn't finish the play. Mo Yi Sang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 58 minutes, Wlodzimierz Zyskowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventus Telford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wlodzimierz Zyskowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carter Rulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mo Yi Sang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes Juventus Telford's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gigi Penaru who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on San Lorenzo's corner Doni Arce fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carter Rulli quite easily take care of the ball. San Lorenzo's Fausto Estebano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stuart Bayne, made in the 65th minute of the game. Mo Yi Sang struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Carter Rulli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Lorenzo. San Lorenzo's Mo Yi Sang got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the game, Mo Yi Sang recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carter Rulli. Mo Yi Sang showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Cälal Elxanov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matias Carlomagno was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Fausto Estebano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carter Rulli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play.
