Cezary Sawicki had several of the Boca Juniors fc's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Distiratsu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boca Juniors fc! Ivar Askelöf shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

52 minutes into the match, GFK Osogovo's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Flores came free, but Jerzy Cetnar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boca Juniors fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Guillelme in the 53rd minute. Ernesto Abella made a great header on Boca Juniors fc's corner, it was just that GFK Osogovo's Jerzy Cetnar managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto Abella in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerzy Cetnar saved GFK Osogovo from getting behind. A nice corner shot did that David Guillelme got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jerzy Cetnar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Sawicki in the 58th minute of play forced Boca Juniors fc's goalkeeper Ryszard Kaczanek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GFK Osogovo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ivar Askelöf in the 60th minute. A well done corner resulted in Rūdolfs Blaumanis drilling the ball in to score 6-0 behind Boca Juniors fc's goalkeeper. Boca Juniors fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0.
