With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ailill Moran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute of the match Tan An got a corner. Kilmaley AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lê Teo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lê Teo made a great header on Tan An's corner, it was just that Kilmaley AFC's Ailill Moran managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 15th minute of the match Lê Teo shot from a long distance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nguyễn Ritchell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Kilmaley AFC's Braeden Jameson got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ailill Moran made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Hoàng Huynh Duc sent off a good shot on target. Nguyễn Ritchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Tan An's Nguyễn Ritchell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ailill Moran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Lê Teo in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kilmaley AFC's Brenda McBrand. After having played for 95 minutes, Donleavy Hamilton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilmaley AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donleavy Hamilton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kilmaley AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tan An had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
