Ede Süßmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarlath Moran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Sheskinapoll's goal looked a bit too open when Akim Pflüger came free, but Scott Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ted Darmstadt came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Westerland FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ted Darmstadt couldn't finish the play. Scott Mulvihill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Metzner in the 22nd minute of play. Perikles Jessberger kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Keegan Palmer scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ede Süßmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sheskinapoll's zone, Ted Darmstadt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Scott Mulvihill came out of the goal and Ted Darmstadt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thilo Bopp scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Scott Mulvihill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Westerland FC's Ede Süßmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarlath Moran in the 39th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarlath Moran to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Ted Darmstadt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Mulvihill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sheskinapoll booed when Westerland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Hoersch didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Hoersch in the 55th minute of play forced Sheskinapoll's goalkeeper Scott Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 minutes of play, Westerland FC's Akim Pflüger made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Scott Mulvihill was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute, Akim Pflüger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Westerland FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Raphael Hoersch took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Scott Mulvihill. Scott Mulvihill dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Scott Mulvihill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Hoersch in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thilo Bopp in the 88th minute of play forced Sheskinapoll's goalkeeper Scott Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Akim Pflüger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Akim Pflüger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Scott Mulvihill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akim Pflüger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Raphael Hoersch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the Westerland FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
