In the 16th minute, one of Westerland FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Westerland FC. The referee gave Α.Ο. Σύρου FC a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Babbis Tsalouchidis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Westerland FC's Ede Süßmann. 0-1. In the 22nd minute Manos Valkanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ede Süßmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ermis Vasilomichelakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ede Süßmann was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Westerland FC's Raphael Hoersch ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thodoris Liolidis. Thodoris Liolidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thilo Bopp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes Thanasis Vouzakis rounded Westerland FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Ede Süßmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermis Vasilomichelakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Ede Süßmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanasis Vouzakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ermis Vasilomichelakis in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ede Süßmann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 67th match minute, Α.Ο. Ermis Vasilomichelakis had several of the Westerland FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 89 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Ede Süßmann as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ede Süßmann made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Ermis Vasilomichelakis sent off a good shot on target. Ede Süßmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanasis Vouzakis in the 94th minute of the match.
