After taking down the ball on Tobantirenda's corner Alfonso Salomon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ede Süßmann quite easily take care of the ball. In the 18th minute, Akim Pflüger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Balthasar Hinkler kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Aurelio Jaizki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ede Süßmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Darmstadt took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laureano Osmundo. Laureano Osmundo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Tobantirenda's Alfonso Salomon got a free kick in the 54th minute. The Westerland FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Westerland FC's Raphael Hoersch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 86 minutes, Aurelio Jaizki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tobantirenda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Jaizki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 played minutes Westerland FC got a freekick which was hit by Akim Pflüger. Tobantirenda succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Westerland FC had controlled the match.
