Azulgrana 81's Albert Rauvoe got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Şentürk Temel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Salpiggidis having to interfere. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's goalkeeper Giorgos Salpiggidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giorgos Salpiggidis came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Azulgrana 81's Jonas Benino. But to his dismay, Jonas Benino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermis Vasilomichelakis got free with Cirilo Peyo in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Α.Ο. Σύρου FC defense, Jonas Benino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giorgos Salpiggidis. The Α.Ο. Σύρου FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giorgos Salpiggidis should have stopped the shot. Ermis Vasilomichelakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Peyo having to interfere. Azulgrana 81:s Cirilo Peyo showed great skill when he stopped Babbis Tsalouchidis:s penalty. Şentürk Temel kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Giorgos Salpiggidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şentürk Temel in the 36th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermis Vasilomichelakis made a kick off. After 57 minutes, Fivos Kolokithopoulos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Α.Ο. Σύρου FC and the Azulgrana 81 players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's Giorgos Salpiggidis got control of the ball when Şentürk Temel tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's goalkeeper Giorgos Salpiggidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Rauvoe. In the 64th minute, Fivos Kolokithopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Dante Palban sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's Giorgos Salpiggidis didn't even have to move. Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albert Rauvoe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Vaggelis Siafakas fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's protests and gave Vaggelis Siafakas a yellow card for diving instead. Vaggelis Siafakas kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The long shot by Gláuber Bertassi in the 76th minute really tested Giorgos Salpiggidis's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 83 minutes into the match, Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's goal looked a bit too open when Şentürk Temel came free, but Giorgos Salpiggidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 played minutes Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Şentürk Temel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Azulgrana 81 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
