An unexpectedly hard shot by Caimin McWill in the 3rd minute of play forced Tan An's goalkeeper Trần Khoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brenda McBrand hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Hoàng Huynh Duc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ailill Moran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Khoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caimin McWill's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Berkley Bayes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trần Khoi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Ritchell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ailill Moran. Kilmaley AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nguyễn Ritchell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Bùi Lan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hoàng Huynh Duc got free with Ailill Moran in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ailill Moran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Ritchell in the 25th minute of play. Kilmaley AFC's Ailill Moran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Ritchell in the 31st minute of play. Caimin McWill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ailill Moran made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Hoàng Huynh Duc sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lê Teo during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tan An getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Lê Teo hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Caimin McWill put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Trần Khoi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caimin McWill in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trần Khoi saved Tan An from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
After a rather tough play, Kilmaley AFC's Brenda McBrand got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Tan An's Hoàng Huynh Duc got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Barhart Savic left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kilmaley AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Ailill Moran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ngô Hoai in the 73rd minute of play. When Braeden Jameson fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kilmaley AFC's protests and gave Braeden Jameson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Braeden Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Caimin McWill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ailill Moran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ngô Hoai in the 94th minute of the match.
