Σύρου FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Isaac Mitxel scored to the left of an out of position Giorgos Salpiggidis, making the score, 3-0. Giorgos Salpiggidis made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Gustave Paelinck sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Fivos Kolokithopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Arif Buğra Subutay sped through Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Giorgos Salpiggidis. The crowd rose to their feet as Doyhenard AFC's Gustave Paelinck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Giorgos Salpiggidis. That made the score 6-0 after 35 minutes of play. In the 40th minute Arif Buğra Subutay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgos Salpiggidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Α.Ο. Σύρου FC got a freekick which was hit by Fivos Kolokithopoulos. Arif Buğra Subutay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Doyhenard AFC! In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Α.Ο. Σύρου FC. Babbis Tsalouchidis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luis Lluis. 6-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermis Vasilomichelakis made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Α.Ο. Σύρου FC got a freekick which was hit by Fivos Kolokithopoulos. Aaron Oskarbi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Giorgos Salpiggidis. Α.Ο. At last the ball reached Sladjan Waagstein at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Α.Ο. Σύρου FC. 9-1. Giorgos Salpiggidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Omero in the 73rd minute of the match. Doyhenard AFC's Fernan Jayvier was substituted for Arif Buğra Subutay. In the 79th minute Isaac Mitxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgos Salpiggidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giorgos Salpiggidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustave Paelinck in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustave Paelinck in the 82nd minute of play forced Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's goalkeeper Giorgos Salpiggidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eulalio Omero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giorgos Salpiggidis having to make a save. In the 91st minute, Isaac Mitxel made a precise shot to the right of Giorgos Salpiggidis. Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-1.
