The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Teddy Ramsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bùi Lan kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Bùi Lan hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Hoàng Huynh Duc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Scott Mulvihill read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Trần Nhật Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Nguyễn Ritchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tan An getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ngô Hoai hit a great ball. Keegan Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Khoi having to interfere. Scott Mulvihill didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hoàng Huynh Duc went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ngô Hoai hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Sheskinapoll's Alfred Matthews shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Trần Khoi but with some difficulty. Keegan Palmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jarlath Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th match minute, Tan An was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phan Huỳnh to maneuver through the defense. When Keegan Palmer came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Sheskinapoll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keegan Palmer couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarlath Moran in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trần Khoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheskinapoll's goalkeeper Scott Mulvihill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Keegan Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Lê Teo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th match minute, Tan An was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phan Huỳnh to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Tan An getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Bùi Lan hit a great ball. Alfred Matthews, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience was convinced that Keegan Palmer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trần Khoi was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Jarlath Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hoàng Huynh Duc might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Scott Mulvihill. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hoàng Huynh Duc ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Sheskinapoll's Teddy Ramsey got a free kick in the 79th minute. Scott Mulvihill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Ritchell in the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Nguyễn Ritchell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tan An's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Ritchell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Keegan Palmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Jarlath Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheskinapoll's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarlath Moran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Khoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 minutes, Trần Nhật Minh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tan An and the Sheskinapoll players grew even worse after the yellow card. Trần Khoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarlath Moran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sheskinapoll players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
