If Fernando Negro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andres Oper in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rahim Kornes saved Seraċini Għawdxin from getting behind. 7 minutes into the game, Fernando Negro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hasan Fuleager was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernando Negro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Oper came free, but Rahim Kornes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Fernando Negro sped through Strib Galacticos IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hasan Fuleager. Mike Tyson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Oper in the 20th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Rahim Kornes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Andres Oper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strib Galacticos IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Oper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Strib Galacticos IF's Hasan Fuleager played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Bejrut in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Song Wei Yun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Strib Galacticos IF's Hasan Fuleager was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Song Wei Yun in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hasan Fuleager prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andres Oper might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rahim Kornes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andres Oper ran back to his position shaking his head. A nice corner shot did that Mike Tyson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rahim Kornes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Samuel Griffin got a free kick in the 38th minute. The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Tyson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hagbard Ribov got free with Rahim Kornes in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rahim Kornes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Oper, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Hagbard Ribov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Rahim Kornes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Seraċini Għawdxin were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Strib Galacticos IF's goalkeeper Hasan Fuleager, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hasan Fuleager made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Negro in the 54th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Mike Tyson in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Seraċini Għawdxin's Victor Hugo Basso. 63 minutes into the match, Strib Galacticos IF's goal looked a bit too open when Song Wei Yun came free, but Hasan Fuleager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Negro got free with Hasan Fuleager in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the game, Victor Hugo Basso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seraċini Għawdxin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strib Galacticos IF the free kick. In the 69th minute, Victor Hugo Basso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Strib Galacticos IF's Mike Tyson tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Song Wei Yun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hasan Fuleager, 0-3. The audience was convinced that Andres Oper's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rahim Kornes was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Song Wei Yun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute Hagbard Ribov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rahim Kornes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Strib Galacticos IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mike Tyson in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Andres Oper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strib Galacticos IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Oper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rahim Kornes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
Seraċini Għawdxin's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
