Soyuncu Entero started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Red Reign's goalkeeper Dawid Ratulowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquin Vada. The audience thought a goal was coming when Soyuncu Carron got free with Dawid Ratulowski in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol booed when Red Reign was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leoverliz Barrutia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's goal looked a bit too open when Derlis Florentin came free, but Patricio Toribia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, Red Reign's Maximo Villamarin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patricio Toribia was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute, POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's Venceslas Casiano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Villamarin in the 28th minute of play forced POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's goalkeeper Patricio Toribia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Red Reign's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Vada came free, but Dawid Ratulowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Soyuncu Carron managed to get in a good position for a shot. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's supporters rose to their feet, but Soyuncu Carron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dawid Ratulowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's Patricio Toribia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derlis Florentin in the 34th minute of play. With a little luck, Red Reign's Dawid Ratulowski got control of the ball when Soyuncu Carron tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patricio Toribia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Villamarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Soyuncu Carron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Dawid Ratulowski made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximo Villamarin to strike the kick off in the second half. If Maximo Villamarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Soyuncu Entero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Red Reign made a substitution. Ismael Blanco replaced Xosepe Villamizar. In the 67th minute Maximo Villamarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Toribia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dawid Ratulowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Soyuncu Entero, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Red Reign's goal looked a bit too open when Soyuncu Entero came free, but Dawid Ratulowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Goya hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Red Reign's Zorion Pelegri was substituted for Derlis Florentin. Soyuncu Carron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Dawid Ratulowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Red Reign's Pablo Beloso was substituted for Leoverliz Barrutia. 79 minutes into the game, Maximo Villamarin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patricio Toribia. Maximo Villamarin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 84 minutes into the match, Red Reign's Maximo Villamarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patricio Toribia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Red Reign's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xavion Sorriva in the 86th minute. After taking down the ball on Red Reign's corner Zigor Ardanza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patricio Toribia quite easily take care of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Zigor Ardanza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Patricio Toribia, 1-3. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's Patricio Toribia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's Patricio Toribia got control of the ball when Maximo Villamarin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mauro Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Maximo Villamarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Toribia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The Red Reign supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Red Reign would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
