But to his dismay, Luís Fábio Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Lex Academy's Bernardo Novaes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Aguilera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomáš Houdek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio Rocha in the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Indiana Jones in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomáš Houdek saved Lex Academy from getting behind. Luís Fábio Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomáš Houdek having to make a save. 28 minutes into the match, Lex Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Rocha came free, but Tomáš Houdek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Luís Fábio Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomáš Houdek was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fábio Rocha in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With a little luck, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera got control of the ball when Bernardo Novaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fábio Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Lex Academy's Bernardo Novaes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Higinio Aguilera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Tomáš Houdek made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Luís Fábio Rocha sent off a good shot on target. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Lex Academy were victorious despite being under pressure from Los Hijos de Doña Beija for much of the match.
