The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Majewski got free with Roch Grondzki in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roberto Lewandowski scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Luis Carneiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 31 minutes, Damian Majewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GÓRNIK PSZÓW and the SMOCZANKA MIELEC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes GÓRNIK PSZÓW got a freekick which was hit by Damian Majewski. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Giraldo was the one to do the kick off. In the 84th minute Oscar Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Luis Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, GÓRNIK PSZÓW's goalkeeper Juan Luis Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cezary Chrzan. Juan Luis Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Giraldo's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Damian Majewski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roch Grondzki having to make a save. The GÓRNIK PSZÓW fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SMOCZANKA MIELEC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
