When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Primitivo Grau sped through Wambalamba FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cris Courtois. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Vianna in the 32nd minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Zhao Sen Yang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cris Courtois. Wambalamba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhao Sen Yang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The Wambalamba FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
