Laçın Cumayev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 4th minute. SC Braga's Laçın Cumayev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save SC Braga from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute Flavinho Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laçın Cumayev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldo Fenomeno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Laçın Cumayev made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Edmílson Arantes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Laçın Cumayev quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 21st minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Jon-Egil Sætre came free, but Abdulkadir Eraslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Braga's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Ronaldo Fenomeno scored to the left of an out of position Laçın Cumayev, making the score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zigmantas Gimbutas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laçın Cumayev came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Fenomeno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Miau Stars's Olavo Mota was substituted for Edmílson Arantes. SC Braga made a substitution. Stig-Åke Mattsson replaced Zigmantas Gimbutas. Miau Stars's Kenneth Knutsson was substituted for Marco Veremundo. In the 73rd minute, Alberto Malheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Braga made a substitution. Antonio Cieri replaced Benjamin de Lara. Alberto Malheiro hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Abdulkadir Eraslan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 75th minute of play. SC Braga's Laçın Cumayev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 86th minute of play. Flavinho Sousa hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
