Seating: 109, VIP seats: 9) Harpurhey City's Dominik Jowsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mickey Owino in the 5th minute of play. Dominik Jowsey came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Olmaroroi fc's James Gichuki. But to his dismay, James Gichuki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If James Gichuki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Charles Maathai charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charles Maathai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Harpurhey City booed when Olmaroroi fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Maathai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Kiptum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gez Reading, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Dominik Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Muttendago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, James Gichuki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dominik Jowsey. Harpurhey City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that James Gichuki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 24th minute John Muttendago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Jowsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Harpurhey City defense, John Muttendago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dominik Jowsey. The Harpurhey City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dominik Jowsey should have stopped the shot. Dominik Jowsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Gichuki in the 28th minute of the match. Dominik Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Muttendago in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Mickey Owino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Dominik Jowsey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. John Muttendago's late challenge caught a Harpurhey City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Muttendago helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Olmaroroi fc got a freekick which was hit by John Muttendago. In the 38th minute, Mickey Owino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olmaroroi fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 42nd minute, James Gichuki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dominik Jowsey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pete Straker to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, James Gichuki reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dominik Jowsey. The goal made the score 0-8. After 55 minutes, Abdilatif Kimeu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olmaroroi fc and the Harpurhey City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Abdilatif Kimeu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Mickey Owino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dominik Jowsey. Mickey Owino succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-11 in the 69th playminute. James Gichuki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominik Jowsey was a little too slow when James Gichuki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-12. A collision led to Harpurhey City getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Sidney Straker hit a great ball. Mickey Owino struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Dominik Jowsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olmaroroi fc. Dominik Jowsey made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Mickey Owino sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Olmaroroi fc defense, Pete Straker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walter Kiptum. The Olmaroroi fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walter Kiptum should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Abdilatif Kimeu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olmaroroi fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdilatif Kimeu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominik Jowsey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Harpurhey City booed when Olmaroroi fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moses Ongao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dominik Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Gichuki in the 94th minute of play. Dominik Jowsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Gichuki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
When the match was over Olmaroroi fc could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Harpurhey City throughout the match.
