Ásbjørn Djurhuus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Bárður Tórgarð charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bárður Tórgarð the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Depil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bárður Tórgarð to maneuver through the defense. Emil Ţeica took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ásbjørn Djurhuus. Depil's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mikkjal Martin Knudsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ion Dragnea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikkjal Martin Knudsen in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Progresul Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Mikkjal Martin Knudsen came free, but Ion Dragnea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Petrică Goiceanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Progresul Bucuresti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Depil the free kick. A collision led to Progresul Bucuresti getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Iordache Vâtcu hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Depil's Bárður Tórgarð sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ion Dragnea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ásbjørn Djurhuus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Vlădoiu in the 28th minute of the match. Depil's Ásbjørn Djurhuus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Vlădoiu in the 30th minute of play. Depil's Bárður Tórgarð got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Tonny á Borg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bárður Tórgarð received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ion Dragnea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hans Gunnarsson fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Depil's protests and gave Hans Gunnarsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Hans Gunnarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Ţeica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ásbjørn Djurhuus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 46th minute of the match Tonny á Borg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tonny á Borg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 47th match minute, Depil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonny á Borg to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bárður Tórgarð made a kick off. Depil's Bárður Tórgarð got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Depil's Atli Martin Knudsen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. If John Tórgarð had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ásbjørn Djurhuus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Seţeanu in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Atli Martin Knudsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Depil's supporters rose to their feet, but Atli Martin Knudsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ion Dragnea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ion Dragnea made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Bárður Tórgarð sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Progresul Bucuresti's zone, John Tórgarð stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Dragnea came out of the goal and John Tórgarð tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bárður Tórgarð could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Ion Dragnea made a huge save. Bárður Tórgarð recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bárður Tórgarð had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atli Martin Knudsen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Depil's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 94th match minute, Progresul Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Vâtcu to maneuver through the defense. Jákup Mikkelsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Dragnea having to interfere.
Depil played a much better game than Progresul Bucuresti and deserved their victory. The Progresul Bucuresti players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
