C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Goicoechea. Intxixu Porregimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 6th minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciro Ferdinand in the 8th minute. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Club Atlético Atlanta's Mugur Chiriac looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anaia Barba in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anaia Barba in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pankracy Glogowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute Anaia Barba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Mexilhão F. C. from getting a goal against them. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anaia Barba in the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute Germano Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 33rd minute of play. Intxixu Porregimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Chiriac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermengildo Erroman's late challenge caught a Mexilhão F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermengildo Erroman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute Ronaldinho Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Paolo Caradaro got a free kick in the 39th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Mugur Chiriac cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Intxixu Porregimon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anaia Barba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro Ferdinand made a great header on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner, it was just that Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Mexilhão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kacper Jaworski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Goicoechea came free, but Intxixu Porregimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's Benigno Abreu was substituted for Remigio Erramu. After 68 minutes Mexilhão F. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciro Ferdinand who took care of the corner kick. Benigno Abreu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anaia Barba in the 70th minute of the match. Ciro Ferdinand kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Intxixu Porregimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 76th minute of play. Intxixu Porregimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Abreu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Mugur Chiriac managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Mugur Chiriac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Intxixu Porregimon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Club Atlético Atlanta's Alfonso Goicoechea in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexilhão F. Anaia Barba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pankracy Glogowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexilhão F. C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
