The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Moraes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sílvio Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, João Adolfo Hermes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Moraes. Goblins F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Adolfo Hermes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cássio Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Galo Mineiro made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Moraes. Goblins F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Sílvio Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Pedro Mendes got free with Gil Coelho in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cássio Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Drogba struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Gil Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goblins F.C.. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teodoro Neto to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galo Mineiro in the 53rd minute of play forced Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sílvio Moraes came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Teodoro Neto. But to his dismay, Teodoro Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Goblins F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th match minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Prestes to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodoro Neto. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Galo Mineiro in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Moraes saved Goblins F.C. from getting behind. 83 minutes into the game, Zé Pedro Mendes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Gil Coelho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th match minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Breno Albuquerque. The Barcellos Mineiro FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barcellos Mineiro FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
