The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Velloso got free with William Rezende in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dida Chaves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Velloso couldn't finish the play. Ismael Velloso hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, JFSP's Zé Carlos Vargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that William Rezende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. William Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Meirelles in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. JFSP had played much better football throughout.
