Sílvio Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Ferraz in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute Vicente Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Oséias Rosa fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goblins F.C.'s protests and gave Oséias Rosa a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Calleri in the 8th minute of play forced Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jo Calleri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Sílvio Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinei Loureiro went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Enio Azevedo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute of the match Vicente Ferraz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Moraes skillfully saved the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Bruninho Campidelis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Francisco Alagoano. Bruninho Campidelis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When Jo Calleri came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Palmares Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jo Calleri couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rubens Recife came free, but Sílvio Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute.

51 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Loureiro came free, but Sílvio Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Goblins F.C.'s Sílvio Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Maia in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Palmares Futebol Clube booed when Goblins F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Moraes was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Jo Calleri capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jo Calleri really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 74th minute Claudinei Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goblins F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Vicente Ferraz scored to the left of an out of position Sílvio Moraes, making the score, 1-4. In the 79th match minute, Palmares Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Porto to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 79 minutes, Waldemar Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goblins F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Jo Calleri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmares Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Palmares Futebol Clube played a much better game than Goblins F.C. and deserved their victory. The Goblins F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
