In the 9th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Simão to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Jhon Barcellos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Régis Vides took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. Palestra do Interior:s Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed great skill when he stopped Agostinho Guedes:s penalty. Agostinho Guedes scored 2-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antônio Carlos Cavalcante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Armandinho Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd match minute, 卡納里尼奧 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Paes to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, 卡納里尼奧 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Barcellos came free, but Carlos Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafim Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evaristo de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eurico Paes fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 卡納里尼奧 FC's protests and gave Eurico Paes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Eurico Paes got a free kick in the 56th minute. Carlos Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Simão in the 60th minute of play. Serafim Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Marinho having to interfere. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Guedes in the 72nd minute of the match. Carlos Marinho made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Serafim Simão sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Palestra do Interior's Carlos Marinho threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jhon Barcellos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Fantini during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivo Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match.
