Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sven de Zwaan kicked off to start the match. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven de Zwaan in the 6th minute of play. Rigoberto Nazario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sid Chadwick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingos Aires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Farid Mondragón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Justo Elequemedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argentinos Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Elequemedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Argentinos Juniors getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Roberto Trotta hit a great ball. Argentinos Juniors's Rigoberto Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Marangoni in the 15th minute of play. C. A. Independiente's Farid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Elequemedo in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petruț Fințescu. Rigoberto Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerry Sellers in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Sellers came free, but Rigoberto Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Nazario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Sellers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Claudio Marangoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Nazario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Yun Quan came free, but Rigoberto Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Nazario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 37th minute of play. Sven de Zwaan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Farid Mondragón skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Argentinos Juniors's Rigoberto Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kerry Sellers in the 40th minute of play. Rigoberto Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xu Yun Quan in the 44th minute of the match. Rigoberto Nazario came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers. But to his dismay, Kerry Sellers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half C. A. Independiente were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xu Yun Quan was the one to do the kick off. Rigoberto Nazario made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Xu Yun Quan sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Argentinos Juniors getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Iurie Azamfirei hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Eric Snowden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Farid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Aires in the 57th minute of the match. C. A. Independiente were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Argentinos Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eric Snowden took the corner. The corner led C. A. Independiente's Ryszard Prusinowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Rigoberto Nazario despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 61st minute, Sid Chadwick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rigoberto Nazario was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 64 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Sellers came free, but Rigoberto Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Xu Yun Quan could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Rigoberto Nazario however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Aires in the 70th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Nazario made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Claudio Marangoni sent off a good shot on target. Argentinos Juniors's Rigoberto Nazario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Argentinos Juniors from getting a goal against them. If Sid Chadwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Kerry Sellers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Nazario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kerry Sellers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Rigoberto Nazario made a huge save. After 89 played minutes Argentinos Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Trotta.

The C. A. Independiente players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
