With an extended leg and a bit of luck Breno Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Barbieri Sports's Breno Vergílio got control of the ball when Isaias Jakue tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rainier Gregoire made a great header on Sporting Buceo's corner, it was just that Barbieri Sports's Breno Vergílio managed to reach the ball for a save. When Boruc Sokolski came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Barbieri Sports fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boruc Sokolski couldn't finish the play. Máximo Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Bergkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barbieri Sports's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raphael Alvarenga in the 21st minute. The corner led Barbieri Sports's Raphael Alvarenga to fire away a dangerous shot which Máximo Correia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Máximo Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin da Mata in the 29th minute of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Benjamin da Mata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Buceo's Máximo Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boruc Sokolski in the 32nd minute of play forced Sporting Buceo's goalkeeper Máximo Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Máximo Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 37 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Xuan Casillas. Máximo Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Bergkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's Isaias Jakue sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Breno Vergílio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin da Mata got free with Máximo Correia in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Máximo Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Bergkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Barbieri Sports getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Raphael Alvarenga hit a great ball. It was a well-played corner which Dennis Bergkamp managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 73rd minute, Isaias Jakue made a precise shot to the right of Breno Vergílio. Barbieri Sports's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Barbieri Sports made a substitution. Ramiro Novaes replaced Dennis Bergkamp. Feng Jun took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Breno Vergílio. Breno Vergílio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Carlos Cascarella made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sporting Buceo's Segundo Aureo. Sporting Buceo's Máximo Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin da Mata in the 84th minute of play. Máximo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Hoffmann in the 87th minute of the match. Breno Vergílio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feng Jun went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Sporting Buceo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
