The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Tatooine Local Club's Charles Wambui nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanislaw Tyszka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Paul Ogot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel Mesías in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Tatooine Local Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel Mesías came free, but Paul Ogot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Ogot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ankaios Garofalis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lionel Mesías scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paul Ogot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paul Ogot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ankaios Garofalis in the 15th minute of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Charles Wambui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Stanislaw Tyszka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute of the game David Kogo made a throw-in which Fredrick Ntalami played forward. When Leandro Txanton came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Gebrüdersdorfer SV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Txanton couldn't finish the play. Tatooine Local Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Myles Khayeshe in the 28th minute. Paul Ogot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel Mesías, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 36th minute Ankaios Garofalis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ogot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrick Ntalami could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Stanislaw Tyszka made a huge save. In the 41st match minute, Gebrüdersdorfer SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ankaios Garofalis to maneuver through the defense. Lionel-Andrés Messi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paul Ogot. Tatooine Local Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Dejan Attard got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ankaios Garofalis was the one to do the kick off. Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Stanislaw Tyszka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrick Ntalami in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes Gebrüdersdorfer SV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Myles Khayeshe who took care of the corner kick. After 58 minutes of play, Tatooine Local Club's Myles Khayeshe made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stanislaw Tyszka was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leandro Txanton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Paul Ogot made a huge save. Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Stanislaw Tyszka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Wambui in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Gebrüdersdorfer SV booed when Tatooine Local Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Kogo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Wanjohi lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 71st minute, one of Tatooine Local Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tatooine Local Club. Tatooine Local Club:s Paul Ogot showed great skill when he stopped Lionel-Andrés Messi:s penalty. If James Wanjiru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stanislaw Tyszka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Wambui, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Leandro Txanton got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Despite being the better team, Tatooine Local Club failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
