An unexpectedly hard shot by Nickolai Skivild in the 27th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Ingmar Wiman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kristoffer Martinsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urban Stenman in the 33rd minute. After the first half Deportivo Empate were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustín Tastzian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kristoffer Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Tastzian, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Nickolai Skivild could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Edgar Trigo made a huge save. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrenta SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Justo Mano was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Empate's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Deportivo Empate defense, Genílson Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristoffer Martinsson. The Deportivo Empate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristoffer Martinsson should have stopped the shot. Deportivo Empate made a substitution. Quique Abaurre replaced Justo Mano. 76 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Behe Abarca came free, but Edgar Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
