In the 17th minute Walmyr Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lu Zhen Sheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, DREAM TEAM WORLD's Bilbo Arzube threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elpidio Curcio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With his leg Bilbo Arzube managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when DREAM TEAM WORLD's Koča Kafarov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lu Zhen Sheng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmyr Loyola went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bilbo Arzube made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koča Kafarov in the 36th minute of play. Juventus EC's Bilbo Arzube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betinho de Queirós in the 41st minute of play. Oséias Pontes got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fran Yeste. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Juventus EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DREAM TEAM WORLD:s goal. When the match had been going on for 48 minutes, DREAM TEAM WORLD's Osvaldo Koldo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bilbo Arzube. Juventus EC made a substitution. Nilson Leite replaced Luís Ramalho. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rosendo Gervaso made a kick off.
