Fisica UNT's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Martín Ferreyra came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martín Ferreyra couldn't finish the play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Marcelo Cordero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Academia's Iwan Grocholski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Alberto Zañartu came free, but Dražen Ladić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Saul Goodman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the game, Paulino Admon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Academia the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 46th minute of play forced La Academia's goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Dražen Ladić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robby Woody in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Lalo Salamanca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Hélder Donatello hit a great ball. La Academia's Robby Woody got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute Marcelo Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Grocholski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT from getting a goal against them. 69 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Robby Woody came free, but Dražen Ladić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Marcelo Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Grocholski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Marcelo Cordero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Leonard Purcaru quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gafur Onat, made in the 82nd minute of the game. Iwan Grocholski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Cordero went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the La Academia defense, Marcelo Cordero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iwan Grocholski. The La Academia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iwan Grocholski should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute, Eric Sillén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Academia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT were victorious despite being under pressure from La Academia for much of the match.
