Mutlu Baykam was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodrigo Ferdinand showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 46 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Galli to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind International Thunders's goalkeeper Stefan Neubrandt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mutlu Baykam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirco Schreyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
