Hortêncio Mandrak started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Mandrak in the 8th minute of play forced El Pulpo Paceño's goalkeeper Nicanor Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, El Pulpo Paceño's Nicanor Ascencio got control of the ball when Dennis Roelfs tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to EDI MZB getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Magno Gaspar hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Dong Zheng Hong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, EDI MZB's Ma Lang Liang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicanor Ascencio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Ma Lang Liang notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of El Pulpo Paceño's Nicanor Ascencio. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Onega to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Celino Abeijon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicanor Ascencio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Christobal Abecia hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Éder Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ma Lang Liang might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicanor Ascencio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ma Lang Liang ran back to his position shaking his head. El Pulpo Paceño's Nicanor Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ma Lang Liang in the 75th minute of play. In the 81st minute Daniel Onega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in El Pulpo Paceño's zone, Ma Lang Liang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Ascencio came out of the goal and Ma Lang Liang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. El Pulpo Paceño's Joseph Lockwood was substituted for Aristides Lluc. Nicanor Ascencio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Roelfs went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. If Ma Lang Liang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the game, Celino Abeijon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Pulpo Paceño's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EDI MZB the free kick. After a rather tough play, El Pulpo Paceño's Celino Abeijon got a free kick in the 96th minute.
