In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Iecēni's goalkeeper Genaro Ponciano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute Marek Hamšík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Wawro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Kwyjibo's Kosin Marianto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Genaro Ponciano. Genaro Ponciano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Genaro Ponciano was a little too slow when Kosin Marianto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 3-0. Genaro Ponciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kosin Marianto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kosin Marianto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Genaro Ponciano made a huge save. Guilherme de Souza struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Genaro Ponciano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kwyjibo. 41 minutes into the match, Kosin Marianto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Genaro Ponciano, 4-0. Sylwester Wawro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Hamšík in the 45th minute of the match. Genaro Ponciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kosin Marianto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kosin Marianto was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Kwyjibo booed when FC Iecēni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viesturs Pilāns didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viesturs Pilāns kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kosin Marianto in the 58th minute of play forced FC Iecēni's goalkeeper Genaro Ponciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kwyjibo's Kosin Marianto got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kwyjibo made a substitution. Christian Burgo replaced Kosin Marianto. Kwyjibo's Sylwester Wawro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Kwyjibo from getting a goal against them. In the 68thth minute of the game Marek Hamšík who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kwyjibo's Sylwester Wawro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christian Burgo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kwyjibo's Bahadırhan Yiğithan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Osvalds Borskis in the 83 minute of the game. Marek Hamšík hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Christian Burgo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Iecēni's Genaro Ponciano did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Hamšík in the 96th minute of play forced Kwyjibo's goalkeeper Sylwester Wawro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
