An unexpectedly hard shot by 崔光笑 in the 10th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Branislav Velchevski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 崔光笑's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After 14 minutes, 崔光笑 made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute of the match, 崔光笑 tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Branislav Velchevski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Qu Sen Yan. Mickaël Landreau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute, Timoteo Basualdo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Atlético Montserrat's Segundo Belarmo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Branislav Velchevski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Atlético Montserrat's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Mickaël Landreau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickaël Landreau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. Olle Snell replaced Petrică Măcriș. Atlético Montserrat's Ceferino Iraido was substituted for Zula Jajesniak. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 崔光笑 to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Atlético Montserrat's Anastasio Rito got a free kick in the 66th minute. Elpidio Francis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Mickaël Landreau made a huge save. Atlético Montserrat's Mickaël Landreau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Montserrat from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael Owen in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Branislav Velchevski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michael Owen in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Branislav Velchevski saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Rafael Dalmu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Michael Owen notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski. Branislav Velchevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute of the match Segundo Belarmo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Branislav Velchevski skillfully saved the ball. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qu Sen Yan in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Owen in the 93rd minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 崔光笑 took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Branislav Velchevski. Branislav Velchevski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0.
