With a left leg Ruperto Rainerio saved Leon Platense from getting behind. Gonzalo Adrio took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugenio Fidensio. Eugenio Fidensio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Leon Platense were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Gallo Moron's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Constantino Anaya took the corner. Hernán Leandro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Adrio in the 25th minute of play forced Gallo Moron's goalkeeper Eugenio Fidensio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Gaafar Carrillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Fidensio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruperto Rainerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A collision led to Leon Platense getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Gaafar Carrillo hit a great ball. Denis Txomin struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Eugenio Fidensio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Adrio in the 44th minute of play. The Gallo Moron players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Leon Platense were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Dario Hussain made the kick off in the second half. Eugenio Fidensio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaafar Carrillo's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Leon Platense's João Francisco Vidal got a free kick in the 54th minute. Denis Txomin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Rainerio having to interfere. Gallo Moron made a substitution. Blas Claris replaced Joel Gudesteo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimiro Dimo in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruperto Rainerio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugenio Fidensio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaafar Carrillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Leon Platense booed when Gallo Moron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Farias didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gaafar Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd match minute, Gallo Moron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gino Peruzzi to maneuver through the defense. Eugenio Fidensio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernán Leandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Farias during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
